After her captivating debut performance at St. Clements Restaurant in December 2024, the acclaimed Durban vocalist Thulile Zama is set to return for her second performance on Friday 04 April 2025. Known for her soul-stirring vocals and seamless blend of Afro-Jazz and Neo-Soul, she will take the audience on a journey filled with rich melodies, electrifying solos by the instrumentalists, and heartfelt storytelling. Accompanied by her dynamic band, she will present a carefully curated selection of original compositions and reimagined classics that highlight her deep connection to South African and global music traditions.

A celebrated figure in the Durban music scene, Thulile has earned national and international recognition for her artistry and projects. She first gained prominence as a founding member of the all-female Jazz band Heels Over Heads, known for its fresh take on Contemporary Jazz. Her critically acclaimed work includes “A Tribute to Sophiatown”. At the same time, she continues to explore new musical directions with her latest band, N’den, further showcasing her depth and versatility as an artist. Over the years, she has graced stages in Germany, Netherlands, Eswatini, Mozambique, and the United States, sharing her passion for music with audiences worldwide.
Joining her on stage are some of Durban’s most accomplished musicians Sbu Shabalala on saxophone, Senzo Mdamba on bass, Sphe Mngwengwe on piano and Skhulile Sibisi on drums. This intimate live performance will also offer a sneak peek into Thulile’s upcoming tour, following her successful concerts in Eswatini and leading to her April tour in the Eastern Cape. St. Clements Restaurant is located at 191 Musgrave Road in Durban. Tickets are available at Webtickets for R100 and sold for R120 at the venue. Doors open at 18h00 and music starts at 18h30.
