As part of Indlela Tour, JCFI Music Ensemble will be performing at UKZN Centre for Jazz and Popular Music on Wednesday 30 July. The outfit comprises of bassist and bandleader Sibongile Buda, guitarist Daisy Mangwato, violinist Tebogo Mafanele, trombonist Nefertiti Buda, saxophonist Nthabiseng Mokoena and drummer Nozipho Mnguni. Their tour is an exciting musical event that brings to the stage a new generation of South African female Jazz musicians.

The tour features original compositions created and performed by members of the group. Audiences can look forward to an inspiring showcase of fresh, genre-crossing works that reflect personal stories, cultural roots, and contemporary influences. Each performance is a celebration of women-led creativity, artistic excellence, and the powerful role of mentorship in music.
Indlela Tour forms part of JCFI’s broader mission to develop spaces for young female instrumentalists to perform, compose, and collaborate in professional settings. UKZN Jazz Centre is located at Dennis Shepstone Building, Level 2, Howard College Campus. Tickets can be purchased at Quicket or at the venue. They are priced at R120 for general public, R90 for pensioners and R60 for students with a valid student card. Doors open at 17h00 and the concert starts at 17h30.
