Siki Jo-An makes a return to UKZN Centre for Jazz and Popular Music on Wedneday 03 September. Hailing from Gqeberha and now based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Siki Jo-An is a multi-talented artist known from a television competition “The Voice South Africa”. Her unforgettable blind audition performance of “The Click Song” by Miriam Makeba catapulted her to international recognition. A versatile performer, Siki Jo-An sings, plays both guitar and piano, and delivers soul-stirring shows that stay with her audience long after the final note.

The audience can expect a soul-stirring celebration of music, rhythm, and storytelling. Prepare to be transported to a world of beauty, passion, and undeniable talent. With her powerful vocals and diva royalty energy, the African Queen returns to the Jazzcentre stage for an unforgettable live concert, joined by her band Mzwa Bhengu on the drums, Khayo Hlophe on bass and Qaqambile Qingana on piano, with a dazzling repertoire of iconic African songs and international hits, including selections from her debut album.

This is more than just a concert, it’s an intimate musical journey, infused with Siki Jo-An’s unmistakable African flair. UKZN Centre for Jazz and Popular Music is located at Dennis Shepstone Building, Level 2, Howard College Campus. Tickets can be purchased at Webtickets or at the venue. They are selling at R120 for general public, R90 for pensioners and R60 for students with a valid student card. Doors open at 17h00 and the concert starts at 17h30.
