Singer songwriter Rorisang Sechele will be performing at UKZN Centre for Jazz and Popular Music on Wednesday 19 March. She is an accomplished all rounded artist in the realm of performance, recording artist and songwriting. With the sophisticated use of her voice, she sonically transports her listeners on a journey of self-reflection. As a skilled songwriter, her main aim is to lyrically root her listeners so that they are anchored to their true self. Through her music, people are afforded an opportunity to escape, relax and get uplifted to a higher state of being.

Like a warm hug after a long day, a cool breeze by the seashore and the gentle waltz of the morning autumn leaves, akin to her name meaning “praise”, Rorisang’s soundscapes bring joyful harmonies and alignment to one’s soul – one melody at a time. The tapestry of her compositions is deeply woven with threads of her love for Jazz, RnB, Soul, Neosoul and Gospel. Footprints of her personal experiences create rhythmic vibrations that keep her grounded and in one with Mother Nature.

Rorisang firmly believes that like a flower with multiple phrases, “we should acknowledge and appreciate all aspects of our lives and becoming better versions of ourselves and In Full Bloom is in praise and celebration of ones’s Becoming and Being. I rooted for myself, watch me bloom”, she said. The Seed Tour is an extension of her debut EP “In Full Bloom – The Seed”. This tour celebrates the beauty of early growth and self-discovery through soulful live performances that blend Jazz, RnB, and Soul.

Each show is designed to create an intimate and inspiring experience, reflecting themes of resilience, faith, and personal transformation. With a vibrant botanical aesthetic, The Seed Tour invites audiences to embrace their own journey of blooming and becoming. UKZN Jazz Centre is located at Dennis Shepstone Building, Level 2, Howard College Campus. Tickets are R120 for general admission, R90 for pensioners and R60 for students. Doors open at 17h00 and the concert starts at 17h30.
